Part of DCU’s wider Age Friendly University Strategy, the Centre for Healthy Ageing or ‘CHAnge’ project is DCU’s response to one of the biggest global challenges facing us – Ageing. Based at the DCU Glasnevin Campus, CHAnge has the potential to offer a comprehensive range of research and support services aimed at promoting healthy ageing. CHAnge will facilitate the development of health technologies and personalised health management strategies in collaboration with communities across all generations.
Examples of specific outcomes include the development of wearable sensors to monitor and manage your heart health at home; development of technology to enhance memory in early stage dementia; facilitating our youth to educate our ageing relatives about new technology for improving health; reducing development of obesity and diabetes in school children.
