DCU Access graduate Dr David Dowling is now a leading vaccinologist with Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
In conversation with Professor Christine Loscher, Head of DCU School of Biotechnology, Dr Dowling shares how the DCU Access Programme gave him an opportunity to plan his future and achieve his ambitions. He also discusses some of the most impactful vaccines he has developed, including an affordable Covid-19 vaccine that is widely used in the developing world, and a vaccine against the effects of fentanyl, which will be vital in the face of an ongoing opioid crisis.
