John Martin graduated from DCU in 1986 with a B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering. A native of Co. Cavan, he emigrated to the United States after graduation and settled in the Boston area. John is the founder, President and CEO of The Cavan Group, an IT Professional Services and Consulting firm. He has always been passionate about business and his company is focused on leveraging technology to enable business growth and efficiency. John has been active in promoting the ties between DCU undergraduate / post-graduate students and the business sector. He participated in the Citi Speaker Series in 2009 and hosts an annual DCU MBA lecture series in Boston every Fall. Prior to The Cavan Group, Mr. Martin held technology leadership positions in several respected corporations including Houghton Mifflin, Racal DataComm, and Fidelity Investments.
