Azets Ireland will be the main shirt sponsor across DCU sport teams, and will also be the named sponsors of the DCU Sport Scholarships Awards. This sponsorship funding will support the overall DCU Sport programme, including the sport scholarship fund, athlete coaching and specialist equipment for clubs.
DCU Sport scholarships help support the holistic development of talented athletes, and recognises their increasing need to successfully balance both academic and sporting commitments. The sport scholarship programme is an athlete-led development programme that integrates a network of support services and expertise that are tailored to the individual needs of the athlete, across a range of sports including Gaelic football, athletics, hurling, camogie, basketball and rugby.
Dublin City University currently has more than 40 sport clubs across a range of disciplines, catering to all students from casual players to elite level athletes. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, DCU was proud to have two current students and 10 alumni representing Team Ireland in Rugby 7s, Boxing, Swimming and Athletics.
