An ongoing collaboration between financial services leader Fidelity Investments Ireland and Dublin City University is providing a programme of scholarships designed to support and recognise women studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics. These scholarships aim to address the underrepresentation of women in STEM courses and careers.
Scholarship applications are now open for the 2026 Fidelity Investments Women in STEM Student Scholarship for women in second and third year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computing for Business, or Data Science/Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at DCU. Eligible students have been invited to apply by the Faculty of Engineering and Computing.
Through DCU Educational Trust, Fidelity Investments Ireland also supports the DCU Access Programme, DCU Sport Scholarships, and a programme of initiatives in DCU Faculty of Engineering and Computing to promote STEM courses and careers. These include the ComputeTY outreach initiative that introduces Transition Year students to programming, student mentoring and career visioning sessions, Engineers Week events and a Women in STEM prize for final-year students.
Commenting on the scholarship, Louise Crosbie, Ireland Regional Leader & Head of Ireland Finance and Global Accounting at Fidelity Investments, said;

By supporting students at this stage of their academic journey, we hope to help open doors to future opportunities and contribute to greater representation in STEM in Ireland.”
