Our graduates give back to DCU in so many ways, from mentoring students and getting involved in reunions, to giving back philanthropically. In a recent Alumni Survey, many of our graduates asked to hear more about ways to support DCU – and alumni giving is one way that you can get involved.
By donating to your Alumni Fund, you can create an open door for bright minds to excel at DCU. Together, we can provide more opportunities for talented students to pursue doctoral research that makes an impact, and maintain life-changing scholarships for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
We know that peer-to-peer fundraising helps to increase awareness and encourage giving. If you believe in DCU’s mission to transform lives and societies, you can help us spread the word by becoming a Class Champion.
Class Champions are DCU alumni who inspire their classmates to give back to DCU and provide future students with the same life-changing opportunities shared by our alumni. When you choose to become a Class Champion, we prepare a campaign to connect with your DCU classmates – but our campaigns work best when alumni also reach out to their own online and offline networks. When you start conversations about why you want to support DCU, more people get to hear about the many ways alumni can give back.
Below, Joe Quinsey, CEO of DCU Educational Trust, describes the important role philanthropy has played in DCU’s mission to transform lives and societies over the last 40 years, and how the support of alumni is more important than ever today.
