The U Student Centre

Built with philanthropic support in 2018, today, The U is at the heart of student life in DCU.

In 2018, President Michael D. Higgins unveiled The U, DCU’s €15 million state-of-the-art student centre, funded by donations from DCU students, The Tony Ryan Trust and Bank of Ireland. In this video, we look at the impact of these philanthropic gifts on student life at DCU.

Today, the U is at the heart of student life on our Glasnevin campus. In this video, see how it is used for events and activities, provides a home for DCU FM, student newspaper The College View, The Student Entrepreneurship Hub and other facilities. It has also had a positive effect on student wellbeing by providing a modern and comfortable space for students to gather.
