Doctoral Research Opportunities

Our doctoral students play a vital role in driving forward research that transforms lives and societies. Whether it is developing new sources of sustainable energy, learning lessons from conflict around the world or addressing global health challenges, we want to empower the brightest minds to advance innovation and discovery at DCU.

Philanthropic funding is critical to ensure we can nurture our finest academic talent, whatever their background or financial means, through providing fully-funded doctoral scholarships. If you would like to support the research leaders of the future, we are happy to discuss how your gift can focus on a research area that is important to you, across any of DCU’s five faculties:

  • Faculty of Science and Health
  • Faculty of Engineering and Computing
  • Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • DCU Business School
  • DCU Institute of Education.

Doctoral scholarships can also be targeted to support underrepresented groups in higher education or postgraduate study, such as students with a disability or students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
